Hi. I’m Cheston, 29, from the UK.
Seven years working in the NHS taught me how precious life is. A steady, honest job, but I knew my time was up there. I just needed something different from life and I’m not getting any younger!
I just bought a one-way ticket Bangkok with the intention to go to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa after exploring South East Asia. I never thought about doing a blog, but while I landed in Bangkok, the idea hit me, and thought why the hell not!! I’m not really a speaker, so trying my hand at writing and hopefully improving at it!
My hope is to encourage others to really think how you want your life to play out.
It’s cliche, but it’s true, we all have one chance at life on Earth. I want to be able to see the world, make a difference on a wider scale and explore why I’ve been put on here on Earth.

The wake
up call
The seed was planted in September 2025 during a trip to Lisbon, Portugal.
One evening, I watched Pixar’s film Soul, and for some reason it hit me harder than I expected. It made me question whether I was actually living the life I wanted or simply following the path to retirement. A bit of a wake-up call if you like…
Back then, I felt stuck. I was working without a clear purpose, counting down days and hours and was heading nowhere.
The one thing that has always brought me to life was travelling and so here I am.
I’ve definitely found out that, you’ll never be ready and if you want to do something, you have to just do it.
What you’ll find here…
This isn’t a luxury travel blog about ticking countries off a list.
It’s about seeing the world with curosity, embracing the unexpected, and sharing the lessons I learn along the way.
If my experiences help even one person take that first step towards something they’ve always wanted to do, I’ve succeeded!
